Our Commitment
At WCI, ethics isn’t a checkbox—it’s the foundation of trust. We take concerns seriously and follow a clear, fair, confidential process modeled on established industry standards so that clients, coaches, and partners are protected and heard.
What You Can Report
- Ethical concerns about a WCI Wisdom coach (e.g., potential breaches of the WCI Coaching Ethics & Standards).
- Program or accreditation concerns related to a WCI-accredited course or provider within our ecosystem.
Who can file: clients, colleagues/peers, or others with first-hand knowledge of the incident.
When to file: as soon as possible; complaints are generally expected within 1 year of the alleged conduct so that facts and records remain clear.
Before You File (Quick Check)
Please take 2 minutes to ensure your situation fits this process:
Decision Checklist
- Is the concern about professional conduct by a WCI wisdom coach? → Use the Ethics Complaint path.
- Is the concern about a program/provider’s integrity or standards (e.g., curriculum, delivery, conduct as an accredited provider)? → Use the Accreditation/Program Complaint path.
- Is it a brand-compliance issue (e.g., someone falsely claiming WCI/ICF membership or credentials)? → Report via Brand Compliance instead.
If you’re unsure which path applies, contact us. We’ll help you route it correctly.
How the Process Works
Step 1 — Submit
Complete the secure complaint form with:
- Your contact details
- Name of the coach/program
- Date(s) and location(s) of the event(s)
- A concise description of the concern
- Relevant evidence (emails, messages, contracts, screenshots)
- The ethics standard(s) you believe may apply, if known (optional—helpful but not required)
Step 2 — Initial Review
- We confirm the complaint is within scope (coach affiliated with WCI / incident relevant to our remit).
- If out of scope, we’ll advise on alternative routes.
- If in scope, the respondent coach/program is notified and invited to provide a written response.
Step 3 — Investigation
- A neutral review panel (trained reviewers) examines statements, evidence, and applicable standards.
- We may request clarifications or additional materials from either party.
- Reviews are confidential and aim for fairness and due process. (Completion times vary; complex matters can take several months.)
Step 4 — Outcome & Actions
Possible outcomes include (not exhaustive):
- No breach found (case closed)
- Educational or corrective actions (e.g., supervision, additional training)
- Formal warnings or probation
- Suspension or removal from WCI programs/rosters
- Referral to external bodies where appropriate
(For program/accreditation concerns, outcomes may include provider remediation requirements.)
Confidentiality & Fairness
- We keep complaint files and identities restricted to authorized reviewers and parties as needed for due process.
- Both complainant and respondent have an opportunity to be heard.
- We strive to resolve matters as promptly as possible while maintaining a thorough review.
What This Process Does Not Cover
- General service dissatisfaction without an ethics or conduct concern
- Fee/payment disputes better handled via contracts, payment providers, or small-claims channels
- Employment/HR issues within third-party organizations not affiliated with WCI
- Allegations about non-WCI coaches or non-accredited programs (we’ll direct you to the correct venue where possible)
If your concern alleges criminal behavior or imminent harm, please contact local authorities immediately. You can still inform us, but safety comes first.
